This weekend, I needed to replenish the gil supply after ignoring farming for a quite a while. I decided some Carbonara was in order. I farmed up about three stacks of Buffalo Meat and had almost another left over from my last trip to Uleguerand Range.
Saw Bonnacon once with no drop. He took quite a bit longer to take down using THF instead of MNK -lol
I was lucky and had an Ls mate with a Chef’s Ring synth the meat into Jerky. When I finally had all the ingredients ready, it was 100% Full Moon on Watersday morning. When finished, I had a bit over 8 stacks of NQ due to a good number of HQ1 synths and one HQ2 synth (the very last one). Adding to some leftovers gives me ten stacks to push throught eh AH. May take me a while, since I tend to avoid flooding the market by placing them all up at once.
With nothing else to do for a while, I started thinking about what job I would want to level next. I was thinking about maybe avoiding a melee job would be desirable which cut out half of the jobs I actually would level (WAR,DRK,RNG,SAM,DRG).
This left me with a reasonable list to choose from: WHM,RDM,BST,NIN,or SMN. I’ve already done WHM (on Tram) and am saving BST for personal fun. Ninja still gives me a facial tick when I think about actually trying to hold hate in a post-ToAU XP pt. Maybe going for one of the harder to level jobs to get it out of the way (as if THF was not painful enough) would be nice. Maybe I’ll try Summoner.
It has been a long time since I suited up SMN. I have always really wanted to play the job. I actually had Tram to SNM44 before his WHM was past subjob level. I also took it to 40 on Thor for the occasional BCNM use. My plan for Tram was to get his WHM high enough for him to join in on a group to get Fenrir and Diabolos and then change to full time SMN, but the higher he got on WHM the more usefull he seemed. And, having a Raise3 mule is so very handy. I have had all summons on Thor for what seems like forever.
I decided to solo from 40-41 just to get back into the groove. Some time near the BST camp in Yuhtunga Jungle (around H-11) and then at the entrance to Gustav Tunnel did not take long to get my level and some buffer.
We shall see if I end up taking it up to 66, all the way to 75, or get distracted by something else.
