Ding! THF75

FFXI was conspiring to prevent me from ever finishing Thief, but I prevailed! I crashed rather early Saturday night and happened to wake up at 2am. After finally deciding that I would not be going back to sleep I made some coffee, logged on, and dug in for the last long-haul to 75.

I hit a few campaigns to get a buffer into 74 and surprisingly got a quick invite. It was a very reasonable party setup sync’d at level 61. Yay! More squishy bags of XP.

Around 6am, we were 8k into the party and I could already start to envision how my Homam would look when I leveled. Then… the dreaded Red Dot of Doom. I somewhat regularly have an issue where I R:0, reset my router, then d/c 1 minute later. This time, I had completely lost my internet connection. Checking throughout the day it never came back. I missed not only my XP, but Limbus and my Nyzul static as well. Quite frustrating >.< Monday, I had the afternoon off due to an appointment. I had 20k XP until level and four hours until Dynamis. I called upon an LS member to /assist. Leastat has been XPing his THF with mine in some great parties lately and he had just recently spent a 16 hour binge racing past me to hit 75 first. Being the good sport he is, he made a party for me and got 10k buffer on his THF and then swapped to BRD to get the party really rolling. I was able to level, gain a 6k buffer, and still make it to Dynamis on time. ^.^
